During the past, MIDENO has carried out the implementation of two projects (The North West Province Integrated Rural Development Project, commonly called MIDENO Phase I and the North West Province Integrated Rural Development Project Phase II, reformulated MIDENO II) and supervised the implementation of one project (Grassfield Participatory and Decentralized Rural Development Project (GP-DERUDEP).
Currently, there are two projects in the portfolio of MIDENO's project supervision role. The Grassfield Rural Infrastructure and Participatory Development Support Project (Grassfield II), a follow-up project to the Grassfield Participatory and Decentralizad Rural Development Project (GP-DERUDEP), and the Livestock and Fisheries Development Project (LIFIDEP).
Both Grassfield II and LIFIDEP are lodged in MIDENO, with the latter naturally carrying out her fatherly responsibility of general policy direction and supervision to ensure that the projects are effectively implemented in conformity with the Loan Agreement, Project Appraisl Document (PAD), project plans and implementation and that expected results are delivered to the population of the North West region.
With the implementation of both the Grassfield II and LIFIDEP going on concurrently in the same Region, MIDENO is very intentional to ensure that the intervention strategies of the two projects are harmonized. This will in a bit ensure synergy in the implementation of the projects and to avoid unncesessary contradictions, duplications and confusion in the communities with the same target population.
