Monitoring and evaluation
In line with one of its major roles of formulating and putting in place new projects, till date, focus has been put on the effective take-off of MIDENO's two new projects namely:
- Grassfield II;
- Livestock and Fisheries Development Project (LIFIDEP)
As overseer of rural development efforts on behalf of Government in the North West, MIDENO has been assigned to mount, seek funding, coordinate, and supervise projects.
These roles of mounting, seeking funding, coordinating the activities of actors in rural development and supervising projects like GP-DERUDEP is a global way of fighting to assure food security in the North West in particular and Cameroon in general.
The impact of G.P DERUDEP; the brain child of MIDENO, in assuring food security cannot be over emphasized. The Livestock Development Project, LIFIDEP, mounted by MIDENO is is aimed at guaranteeing food security as a way of fighting poverty.
Even though the impact of MIDENO is still to be evaluated vis-à-vis the main objectives of poverty alleviation and assuring food security for the North West Region, there is enough evidence that the objectives have been met to a large extent considering
Just these indicators are enough to give an idea of the impact of MIDENO on the population of the project area.
The new role of MIDENO also entails consolidating the above realizations as well as realizations of GP-DERUDEP and other MIDENO Projects still to be mounted. The new role of MIDENO is designed to assure rural development in the Region within the context of the Millennium Development Goals.
